Amani Centre for Street Children is a nationally registered NGO headquartered in Moshi, Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Amani is committed to reducing the number of children living on the street in Tanzania by providing a safe place for homeless children to heal, grow, and learn, and, when possible, reuniting them with their families and/or relatives

Amani is committed to reducing the number of children living on the street in Tanzania by providing a safe place for homeless children to heal, grow, and learn, and, when possible, reuniting them with their families and/or relatives. Amani has branches in the Arusha and Singida regions.

 

Amani is seeking to fill the following vacant positions with dynamic individuals to work with street-connected children and youths in Moshi, Arusha Singida, and other neighbouring regions.

Admin Assistant: (1 position)

Duty Station: Amani Centre for Street Children Arusha

Reporting to: Amani Arusha Program Coordinator.

Position Description:

The selected candidate in this position will work hand in hand with the programme coordinator and the Amani senior accountant to perform various administrative and operational activities, including handling petty cash, purchasing, managing a small store at the Centre, and assisting in personal routines. His or her job description will also entail a small component of monitoring and evaluation activities.

Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in Business Administration, HR Management, Procurement, Accountancy, or any other related field; proven ability to work under minimum supervision; Fluency in oral and written English and Swahili languages, Proven abilities to work on computers, especially Word and Excel, commitment to children’s rights, Participation and empowerment Willingness to learn, improve, and be open to criticism, and readiness to accept other official routines.
